Wedding Band, Right or Left Ring Finger?

As soon as different values and customs and even preference comes into picture, it is often a big question mark: which one to follow?

To the Chinese, it's pretty simple: LEFT for GROOM and RIGHT for BRIDE. And if you ask, "but why?" you would probably get "it's our custom, just follow" as answer. However, according to the Ring Etiquette, it is LEFT RING FINGER for BOTH BRIDE & GROOM.

This custom originated when people believed that a vein of blood ran from this finger to the heart, thus making it the most appropriate place for a wedding ring so that it is placed in a position that is closest to the heart.

You have made your lifetime decision choosing this man/woman to be your lawfully wedded partner, who you both shall share your lives together. So there is one thing you should remember:

it is most important that the bride and groom make the decisions they want, not what tradition dictates. Wedding rings are a symbol of the relationship, and they should be as unique as the couple wearing them.

Happy marry and have a wonderful married life!!
